March was another successful month thank goodness. We continued our work with the Ciniselani Centre and Chevra Kadisha. However we were able to work with a new, worthwhile charity. It is always a pleasure to see and work with now familiar faces, but it is also a pleasure to work with new organizations.
The Ciniselani Centre had a lot of additional work to do on the vegetable gardens. This was due to the very high rainfall and extreme heat. Some of the vegetables were being destroyed by an unusual amount of insects. Fortunately, Patricia was very vigilant and spotted the problem very early and all necessary precautions were taken. Thank you to Patricia for your vigilance and prompt response and help in salvaging the garden. We really appreciate it.
After a very productive meeting with Chevera Kadisha, we confirmed a further donation towards the Sandringham Gardens Kitchen Project. We were able to see the results which are extremely exciting. It is estimated to be three quarters completed. We are so privileged and proud to be involved with this project and cannot wait for it to be completed. This upgrade will be life changing for so many people who receive meals. It will also be life changing for the chefs who had to work in the previous poor conditions.
It gave us much pleasure to make a donation to Hatzolah Medical Rescue. First responders are vital. Hatzolah is a valuable service and has already saved countless lives. Donations are as vital to keep this organization and their services running.
Looking forward to April, we are happy to share that we have some very worthy projects that we are going to be working together on.
