Red Bagels Launch: First Two Months Events.
I am very excited and happy to be sharing some of our highlights and achievements that we have already completed with the launch of Red Bagels:

Our very first event on opening The Red Bagels Charitable Trust took place on 14 November 2018 for the Selwyn Segal home for mentally challenged children. It was a gratitude spa pampering evening for the staff done by Mangwanani Spa. Each staff member of the Selwyn Segal was gifted with a towel. It was a really special evening, which was extremely well received by everyone.
The success of this event rated 9/10 and should definitely be repeated. Caring for the carer is an essential part of any organization that cares for others. One can only give if one is full. A very simple way of doing this is for the organization to have events such as these.
A donation was made to Selwyn Segal home through their club 36one. This sends children to summer camp leaving lots of happy children. Children enjoy the summer camp immensely and look forward to going every year. Unfortunately only those who can pay for this experience can attend. Red Bagels stepped in happily to provide more places for more of the residents to attend this year’s summer camp. Lots of fun memories will be treasured forever by those attending the camp on their return to their Selwyn Segal home.

Further, we are helping a rural stimulation centre, which is a school for mentally challenged and underprivileged children in the area of Steenbok South Africa, called Ciniselani. So far we have provided them with food, transport assistance so they can attend school and be able to receive meals, gifts including toys and hats, for the upcoming Christmas season. We have also repaired their borehole which was running dry. Now they have ample fresh water for general living use. They can resume their vegetable garden and fish farm soon due to the new source of water. Everyone is already much happier, so we are excited and even more happy than the children.
We have also funded the treatment for a young Jewish woman with Crohn’s disease. This funding will enable her to receive life altering medication that will vastly improve her quality of life. Hopefully it will add many years of good health and amazing memories shared with family and friends.
A donation was made to the children living on the Israel/ Gaza border. These children are constantly being targeted by hundreds of missiles and have 30 seconds to reach the nearest bomb shelter. Our donation will be used for mobile shelters to be placed closer to their playgrounds, to upgrade their playgrounds some of which have been destroyed and also for these children, aged from as young as 2 years old, to receive treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and play therapy. We wish them peace.
The past months have been rewarding and amazing. We look forward to the rest of the year.
Red Bagels would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the many wonderful people who are our support team and everyone who has put in so much positive energy and hard work to ensure the success of all our projects.
Have a beautiful day.
